We are a small ecotourism based family business. Our passion is our lovable and hard working Alaskan husky sled dogs and everything we do with them.
Juho
Long distance dog musher and wilderness guide Juho Ylipiessa was born and raised in the small village of Liakka in southern Lapland. Juho has spent pretty much all his life in the nature. He's been watching birds, fishing, hiking and hunting in different corners of Scandinavia. As a 20-year-old he attended the Wilderness guide school in Muonio and ever since he has been guiding people in the wild from taiga to tundra.
Juho started dog mushing for real in Kiruna 2005 while working for the Swedish top musher Mats Pettersson. There he also got the spark for long distance racing that Mats had already been doing for a few years. The winter 2008-09 Juho spent in Yukon, handling for the Yukon Quest musher and champion Hugh Neff. After coming back to Finland he got his first dog Gamas and over the years the pack has grown to 30 furry friends.
